European Leaders Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

Officials from Europe such as Emmanuel Macron accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the visa restrictions targeted figures that were at the heart of efforts to introduce legislation regulating American tech companies.

“For too long, European activists have spearheaded organised efforts to coerce US companies to punish American viewpoints they disagree with,” wrote a senior US official online. “The current administration will no longer tolerate such actions of censorship beyond its borders.”
